About OABC Ministries

The earliest beginnings of Orange Avenue Baptist Church can be traced back to 1946 when the work toward organizing a new church in the Header Canal-Orange Avenue community. This work was initiated by First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce. Reverend Paul Goodner was called as the first pastor in 1951. On March 27, 1966, a new sanctuary was dedicated at the present location on Orange Avenue. In the last 50 plus years, Orange Avenue Baptist Church has strived to remain faithful to the call of ministering to its community for the Lord. With His blessings, it will continue for many more years to come. Orange Avenue Baptist Church is located in one of the fastest growing communities in America. As housing and commercial developments replace orange groves, there will soon be a new harvest; not of citrus, but of families and friends. Citizens that establish homes in St. Lucie County need employment, roads, stores, hospitals, etc. Yet, more urgent than these, our neighbors need the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church. God has placed before Orange Avenue Baptist an open door that no man can shut. The Father calls us to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ found in John 3:16! He is the only Savior and Lord for all humanity.
